Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support a dynamic clinical team. This is a full-time float role based primarily in the Ballantyne location, with occasional coverage at the Midtown site. The role is patient-facing and requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer patient injections and provide self-injection education
- Confirm insurance authorizations and verify current patient labs
- Schedule patient appointments for injection therapy
- Support clinical staff with patient intake and rooming as needed
- Ensure clear communication with patients regarding treatment plans
- Flex between locations based on team needs and patient volume
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- Proficient in administering injections and engaging in patient education
- Background in endocrinology or rheumatology preferred
- Must have an upbeat, professional demeanor and strong verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen experience is a plus)
- COVID-19 vaccination (both doses) required prior to start
