Addison Group's client is searching for a Temporary AP Associate based in Alexandria, VA. This role is on-site and paying $30-31/hr+. Apply here to learn more!


Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Schedule and process payments via check, ACH, or wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms.
  • Assist with month-end close by preparing AP reports and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and collaborate with internal departments for issue resolution.
  • Assist with 1099 reporting and year-end tax preparations.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in AP software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong understanding of general ledger coding and accrual accounting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of sales tax, use tax, and compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with automated AP processes and expense management tools.
