About Our Client:
Our client is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality medical services. They are seeking a Buyer to support their procurement operations, ensuring efficient and compliant purchasing of materials and supplies.
Job Description:
The Buyer will be responsible for processing and validating supply requests, creating purchase orders, and maintaining compliance with purchasing policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in healthcare procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing requests and create purchase orders following established guidelines.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and effectively negotiate with vendors.
- Track and manage supply inventory to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize procurement software and tools for efficient order processing.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including administrative teams, department leads, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to manage high-volume purchasing in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Associate degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare purchasing.
- Familiarity with MMIS (Materials Management Information Systems).
Additional Details:
- Employment Type: Contract with potential for contract-to-hire.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible Lunch).
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Candidates must pass a background check, drug screening, and additional compliance verifications (OIG, SAMS, Sexual Offender registry).
