As they enter a busy hiring season, they are looking to bring on a Contract Recruiter to support their full-cycle hiring efforts for staff (non-faculty) roles across various departments.

 

Job Description:

The Contract Recruiter will act as a primary point of contact for hiring managers and candidates. This individual will oversee a portfolio of open requisitions and provide guidance throughout the hiring process. From sourcing to onboarding, the Recruiter will manage all phases of recruitment and serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage approximately 30–40 active staff requisitions (varied in level of complexity)
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Source and identify qualified candidates for roles such as facilities, engineering, public safety, etc.
  • Review resumes, conduct pre-screens, and assist in interview preparation
  • Coordinate background and reference checks and draft offer documentation
  • Ensure recruiting practices are compliant with relevant employment regulations
  • Use an applicant tracking system (Workday preferred) to manage and track applicants

 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance and labor regulations
  • Experience in higher education or nonprofit settings preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday a plus
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to source passive talent and manage a varied req load
